Semi Home Made Crock Pot Chicken Soup

So I have been sick the past week with a horrible head cold. Watery eyes, sneezing, achy head and I wanted some simple chicken soup but not just the canned variety.  So I came up with this quick and easy semi home made recipe. It utilizes some good veggies plus canned chicken soup. And I must say, it tasted so good.
Recipe below.

1 skinless boneless chicken breast
1 can chicken broth
1/2 cup chopped into small pieces carrot
1/2 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup frozen chopped spinach
2 can condensed chicken noodle soup
1/4 teaspoon celery salt
salt and pepper to taste

Salt and pepper chicken breast, then place into crock pot along with 1 can of chicken broth, set on low and cook for 3 hours. Add chopped carrot, chopped celery and celery salt. Continue cooking another 3 hours. When chicken and veggies are done, remove chicken breast and chop into small pieces, place back into crock pot, along with 2 cans of condensed chicken noodle soup, 1 can of water and frozen spinach. Allow to continue to cook another half hour and your soup is done. Serve with some toasted crusty bread and butter.
So good...

New way to store butter

These have probably been around for a long time but to me it's a brand new discovery. While doing my fave activity, I was browsing the local thrift shop when I happened to see this butter dish. I love to use real butter for cooking or as a spread on toast or bread but keeping it in the fridge made it hard to spread. So this was a real find. So easy to use and stores your butter outside the fridge perfectly. Just remember to change the water at least once a week and wash once you use up all the butter before adding more. And there you go, perfectly spreadable butter and the dish is pretty too!'
These are called french butter dishes or a butter bell and they come in different shapes and colors. And also different prices. The square white one is the one I have below.

Make iced tea you don't have to brew

I really love a tall glass of sweet iced tea but really hate brewing the tea to make it.
Recently I found these at the grocery store and what a difference these cold brew tea bags make.
All you do is fill your pitcher with cold water, drop in your tea bags, let set for the required amount of time, add your preferred sweetener and you're good to go.So easy and making iced tea a breeze.

My fix for oxidized head lights

So my  little VW Golf still looks good for it's age except for the cloudy head lights. I didn't think much could be done about it and after having researched a fix online, most fixes seemed to easy to be true or too complicated. But here comes my boyfriend to the rescue. He gave it a go and the results are fabulous. I gave it about a month after he did his fix and they are still unclouded. So I'm gonna share with you all exactly how he did it. And best of all it works. He used a can of this (pic below). Took a clean cotton rag and just rubbed it all over the headlight then buffed it out. Hopefully this will work for you too!

See the before and after pics below. Big difference and it lasts.
